Mark Farquharson

Master Farquharson began training in 1988 when he was just 4 years old. He studied under instructors Master Rivera and Master Sattler from Rivera Tang Soo Do in Meriden, CT. He received the rank of 6th Degree Master Instructor in 2021. Throughout his years in the martial arts, Master Farquharson has had the opportunity to work with many instructors from different arts including Aikido, Hapkido, Modern Arnis, Shootfighting, Capoeira, and Tai Chi. While in college, he trained and competed in a variety of tournaments for Western New England college and Central Connecticut State University.

In 2011, Master Farquharson moved from Connecticut to Aurora, Colorado. After his move, he trained students on a one-on-one basis in garages, parks, or any other open space. In January of 2012 Master Farquharson found a home for Colorado Tang Soo Do at Dance Scene Studios. He ran his studio there until 2024 when he relocated into his current location. He runs his studio with the help of his brother, Master David Farquharson, his sister Ms. Megan Farquharson, and his father Mr. Dan Farquharson.

Outside of Tang Soo Do, Master Farquharso has a master’s degree in educational technology. He has taught in a variety of schools from K-12. He currently works in the Adams 12 School District where he teaches graphic design and industrial arts at the middle school level.
